COMPETITOR REMOTE INSTALLATION
Standard Multivariable Transmitters (MVTs) generally require 10-12 mA of current to operate plus additional current during communication. They cannot log data. For API compliant measurement, additional equipment is needed to log data and control an external radio and solar charging system. These additional components are often not suitable for Class I Div 1 locations and require trending to be placed in a safer area.
JT400 PLATFORM INSTALLATION
The JT400 integrates the MVT, power system and radio antenna. Low power operation allows enough energy to be scavenged from indirect sunlight by an internal solar panel to power the whole system. Unlike typical transmitters, the JT400 has data logging and time-stamping capabilities that allow API-compliant once-per second measurement with 15-minute averaging of variables plus extensions. The explosion-proof housing doubles as an antenna. Just rotate the display towards the receiving RTU for 1000-ft LOS range.
